Harry Alcorn, PharmD

Harry Alcorn, PharmD, serves as Senior Vice President of Renal & Hepatic Research at Dr. Vince Clinical Research, bringing over three decades of distinguished leadership in clinical drug development. A recognized authority in early-phase (Phase I–II) research, Dr. Alcorn possesses extensive expertise in protocol design, clinical operations and complex study designs involving specialty populations, specifically patients with renal and hepatic impairment.

Over his distinguished career, Dr. Alcorn has served as Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator on more than 400 clinical trials. He spent over 25 years as Chief Scientific Officer in the clinical research industry, where he directed site operations nationwide and spearheaded the design, launch and management of specialized Phase I research facilities. To address critical gaps in specialty clinical trials, he founded the US Renal Network—a collaborative network of research sites dedicated to accelerating studies in patient populations with renal disease.

An active contributor to the scientific community, Dr. Alcorn has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, designed more than 50 renal study protocols, presented key research findings before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and delivered keynote presentations at major industry conferences on specialized clinical trial methodologies.

At Dr. Vince Clinical Research, Dr. Alcorn provides executive scientific and operational oversight, supporting protocol design, trial execution and strategy for complex patient populations. He specializes in aligning protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria with target patient profiles, selecting optimal trial sites and partnering with experienced Principal Investigators. He collaborates closely with sponsors, investigators and multidisciplinary research teams to maintain rigorous scientific integrity, ensure high-quality execution and drive clinical research excellence.
